About Me

American expat & MSW student offering online counseling for anxiety, stress, depression & life challenges. I bring both professional experience and personal insight to our sessions.

I am an American expat living in Paris, and I know firsthand how big life transitions - like moving abroad - can stir up stress, anxiety, and a whole range of emotions. This personal experience, combined with my professional background, shapes the empathetic and grounded approach I bring to every session. I hold a bachelor's degree in psychology, have years of relevant work experience in the helping field, and am currently pursuing my Master of Social Work (MSW). I work with adults navigating anxiety, stress, depression, and general life challenges, and all sessions are held online, making support accessible wherever you are. Please note: I am a counselor, not a licensed therapist. I do not assess, diagnose, or treat mental health conditions. If you are in crisis or require clinical care, I encourage you to seek support from a licensed professional.

Treatment Approaches

CounsellingRecommended for those who want to talk through their emotional challenges with a professional in a safe, supportive environment.

Somatic coachingRecommended for those who want to use body awareness and movement to release emotional tension and promote personal growth.

Systemic ApproachRecommended for those who want to look at how different systems—like family, work, or society—affect their behavior and relationships.

My style is warm, conversational, and client-led. I believe you are the expert on you own life; my role is to offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where you feel genuinely heard and can explore what's on your mind at your own space. I draw on active listening, empathy, and a strengths-based perspective, helping clients identify their own resilience and resources. Sessions are collaborative - we work together toward whatever goals feel meaningful to you, whether that's managing day-to-day stress, processing a difficult period, or simply having a consistent space to talk.

Experience

My professional background spans more than 20 years in social services, giving me a deep, real-world understanding of the challenges many people face - including mental health crises, family stress, trauma and navigating complex life circumstances. I have worked directly with individuals and families in crisis as a Mobile Crisis Counselor, supported vulnerable adults through protective services, coordinated long-term care for individuals with complex needs, and managed child welfare cases in high-pressure urban environments. This hands-on experience means I come to counseling not just with academic knowledge, but with genuine insight into how hard life can get - and how resilient people can be. I have sat with people in their most difficult moments, and I take that responsibility seriously. I am currently completing my MSW at the University of Denver with a concentration in Mental Health and Trauma, continuing to deepen my clinical knowledge alongside my lived professional experience.

Education
